1. I have seen a few different methods on youtube what do you guy's think?

2. i generally wrap them tightly in paper towel for several hours to draw out the juice. afterwards i just rinse them in warm water to get out as much gunk as i can. i leave them to drip dry for a few minutes and i wrap them tightly in a paper towel and leave them overnight. this gets them decently clean. i generally do this when changing flavor types (ie fruit to dessert). i dont try and squeeze every last vape out of my coils before tossing them out. i know there are some people who clean them using vodka and all that but imo its not necessary.

3. I throw them out or gut them and rebuild the carcasses. Cleaning them is pointless to me. The revape is putrid.

4. I've tried cleaning and had mixed results. Depending on the reason to clean will usually determine the results.

   If it's for changing flavors I soak in vodka for a couple of hours to over night then let it air dry for at least 24 hours. If it was a really strong flavor, sometimes it never goes away.

   If it's because the coil isn't performing then its a crap shoot. Most of the time if the cotton isn't providing flavor then soaking never really brings it back. My opinion, you results may very, if you have vodka laying around its worth a shot. If you have to go buy vodka it maybe cheaper to just buy the coils.

   Coils can be cleaned
   Wicks are pretty much a waste of time.

   That is why RTA's are at advantage.
   Clean and rewick in 5 minutes.
   Often last 50ml+

   I wrap them tightly in a paper towel for about an hour when I clean the tanks or change flavors. I've never rinsed them and do keep the shells for rebuild should I choose to do so in the future.

7. Trying to re-use spent coils usually has caused headaches and heartaches. I've never been able to bring a coil back to good. This is the reason that I now look for tanks that have the RBA for it or a rebuildable option like the ego one CLR coils. You can buy an ego one mega for about $17 and a 5 pack of titanium CLR coils for $13.

   The only sub-ohm tanks I have without rebuildable decks are ones I've won in contests (FreeMax Starre and Tobeco Super Tank). The Starre takes Atlantis coils so those are easy to come by and I haven't gone through the first coil on the Super yet. Just got my Velocity today so I've been playing with that... WOW! All my super-ohm tanks are Kayfuns so I'm all about rebuilding. For the price of two or three coils, I can buy wire and cotton to keep all 15 tanks running for over a year.

10. I love the new Subtank vertical OCC coils... great great coils IMO. But not any good to clean, and impossible to rewick if you want to save money. The old horizontal coils are so easy to remove the wick, dry burn and rewick that I actually enjoy the process. The ISUB tanks are also just as easy.

    I don't need to save the money. But why throw it away when rewicking is so easy.

    Soaking atlantis coils in alcohol overnight was a method I used to clean the coils... but you cant remove the damage done to the cotton by the coil. All you can hope to do is clean them enough to use a new flavor.
